We use an adapted ike-jime method designed for small boats and smaller species:

  • Instant kill + bleeding onboard: fish are dispatched immediately and bled on the boat to reduce stress and lactic acid.
  • No spinal-cord wire: our adaptation does not use the traditional wire insertion; it preserves the core benefits while keeping the workflow simple and safe for co-ops.
  • Cold chain from the start: ice is applied immediately; handling minimizes bruising and temperature spikes.
